El's completed works are scanned at very high resolution to insure the accurate and highly detailed digital files needed to produce the limited number of high quality prints made available to the public. As a matter of reference, most digital cameras produce images that are two to four million pixels in resolution. It is estimated that an image file would have to be nearly ten million pixels in size to produce a digital image that could duplicate the traditional film quality we see in our family photographs.

The files for El's work, though, are routinely 70 to 90 million pixels each! What this means is regardless of size of print produced, it will have vivid color and very high detail and clarity of image. The Giclee print process utilizes state of the art technology to generate museum quality reproductions of exquisite depth and brilliance. While the familiar color copiers of the home office apply three colors of ink to common paper to produce very good copies for routine use, the Giclee process uses up to fourteen colors of actual artist quality pigments on archival canvass or paper to produce these high tech wonders. Once the prints are produced they are signed and numbered by the artist. Paper prints are signed and numbered on the white margin of the print in the traditional manner while canvasses come with a certificate of authenticity including the artist’s signature, number of print and miniature image of the piece.
El will allow only a finite number of prints to be produced. When that quota is completed the original work will be retired and archived. The digital files will be destroyed. Only so many of these exceptional works will ever be produced. This philosophy insures the integrity and value of your acquisition far into the future.
